The property market remains open during the new national lockdown under the Governments guidance for property professionals.
The guidance states:
“You can still move home. People outside your household or support bubble should not help with moving house unless absolutely necessary. Estate and letting agents and removals firms can continue to work. If you are looking to move, you can go to property viewings. Follow the national guidance on moving home safely, which includes advice on social distancing, letting fresh air in, and wearing a face covering.”
Please see our protocol:
Before making an appointment with us our staff will ask whether any party is showing any Covid-19 symptoms, been in contact with anyone who has shown symptoms or are self-isolating
We will not be conducting any open-house viewings and will ensure that viewing times do not overlap.
Where we have this available, we will encourage potential viewers to view properties virtually in the first instance.
We ask that no more than 2 people from the same household attend any viewing and no children are present.
Staff and customers to wear face coverings and gloves or use the provided hand sanitiser before and after entering.
Viewers will be asked not to touch anything inside the property. All doors will be opened and lights left on prior to them entering.
Doors handles and surfaces will be wiped down on leaving the property but it is the responsibility of the homeowner to ensure that their property is cleaned appropriately before and after.
Most importantly please adhere to the 2 metre self-distancing rule at all times.
Viewings will be restricted to 20 minutes with any further discussions and questions taking place outside of the property.
Thank you and stay safe
